Our Counselor in Training (C.I.T.) program provides teens and former campers with an incredible opportunity to learn new skills, challenge their personal growth, and build self-esteem through leadership opportunities.
The goal of this program is for you to develop real-world, outside-the-classroom skills which you can use throughout life, at home, in jobs and in your community. It’s an opportunity for former campers to transition from camper to counselor roles where your training and talents are put into action. Being a counselor-in-training is a very important role at camp, in which leadership skills, good character, integrity, patience, and self-control are nurtured and developed.
Teens ages 14-17 are eligible to apply. This is a 5 day, overnight commitment.
Meals, lodging and transportation are provided.
Camp Rise KC will provide camp gear (backpack, bedding, toiletries, etc.)
Camp takes place at the Rotary Youth Camp in Lee's Summit, MO. There are cabins, indoor showers and bathrooms, a full service dining hall and a pool.
